Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Club

Ushuaia is less a beach club than an open-air concert venue built around a swimming pool, occupying a prime stretch of Playa d'en Bossa alongside its own hotel. The format is fixed and unusual for Ibiza: shows run in daylight and early evening rather than through the night, with a main stage facing the pool and an outdoor dancefloor that fills the space between them. Production is the point, with full stage rigging, pyrotechnics and confetti drops, and the bill is drawn from the top tier of international DJs. The beach in front is long, flat and fine-sanded, one of the widest on the island, though the club's own centre of gravity is firmly inland of the sand at the pool. Food is handled by separate restaurant operations on site, including a Japanese kitchen, a steakhouse and an oyster and caviar bar. The crowd skews young, dressed-up and heavily international, and the venue enforces that with a genuine door policy rather than a nominal one. Two practical things catch visitors out: entry is strictly over-18 with photo ID, and there is no readmission once you leave, so a mid-afternoon return to your hotel means buying a second ticket.
