Es Xiringuito Figueretas

Es Xiringuito sits directly on the promenade at Figueretas, the town beach immediately south of Ibiza Town, which makes it one of the few genuinely walkable beach bars on the island. Figueretas is an urban beach - a strip of imported sand between the seawall and the water, backed by palm trees and apartment blocks - so nobody comes for the swimming. They come because the terrace looks straight out over open water toward Formentera, and because you can be at it in ten minutes from the old town without a car or a taxi. The operation runs from breakfast through to late: coffee and breakfast plates in the morning, then a switch at half twelve to a menu of burgers, salads, Mexican-influenced dishes and sharing plates, with a full cocktail list. From seven in the evening it runs events every day, with in-house DJs turning the terrace into a drinking spot rather than an eating one. It is unpretentious in a way that is increasingly rare on Ibiza's southern coast, and the price of that is that it is busy and the sand in front is public and crowded.
