Tigre Morado

Port des Torrent is one of the calmer inlets on Ibiza's south-west coast, a broad bay of pale sand where the water shelves gently and stays protected from the swell that reaches more exposed beaches nearby. Tigre Morado sits directly on that sand, and the look is deliberately soft: wicker lamps, esparto blinds and palm-thatched parasols rather than the white-and-chrome minimalism common elsewhere on the island. The kitchen is Nikkei, the Peruvian-Japanese crossover, so the menu leans on ceviche, tiraditos and raw fish, with Mediterranean ingredients folded in and a sushi list running alongside. Loungers and Balinese beds are laid out on the beach, and a small boutique sells beachwear. The music policy tends toward Balearic and Afro-tribal sets rather than main-room house, which keeps things conversational through lunch and only lifts as the light goes. Because the bay faces west, sunset arrives straight down the beach and service runs late enough to make an evening of it. The setting is a short drive from Sant Josep and the resorts around Cala de Bou, and the shallow entry keeps the beach itself usable for families even when the club is full.
