About this beach club
Grand Beach Club is the beachfront operation of the Grand House hotel in Vila Real de Santo Antonio, on the sand spit of Ponta da Areia at the mouth of the Guadiana river. The site combines a pool area with direct beach frontage on the point where the river meets the ocean. Sunbeds are not sold as a standalone product: a lunch reservation is required to use them. For groups over six people a deposit of fifty euros is taken at booking. The club is closed on Mondays and runs shorter daytime hours than the western Algarve clubs. It is one of the few beach club style venues on this far eastern stretch of coast.
