Bivouak Beach

Bivouak Beach occupies the plot on Plage de la Nartelle that was previously run as Le Saint-Barth and then as Chez Max Beach, and it keeps the feature that made the address stand out: a swimming pool set back from the sand, which almost no other beach in Sainte-Maxime has. The look is Moroccan and Byzantine in inspiration, with ochre tones, timber, cumin-yellow drapes and a lot of planting, and the club describes its capacity as around a hundred loungers plus a handful of large beds. The kitchen cooks over charcoal and serves Mediterranean sharing plates, mezze, grills and seafood, with signature pitchers of mocktails and cocktails at the bar. Opening hours are ten in the morning to seven in the evening. Season dates and lounger rates are not published online, and the Google listing still carries the old name, so confirm by telephone first.
