Medea Beach Club

Medea sits on the seafront at Letojanni, the low-key resort town a few kilometres north of Taormina, and its defining decision is a cap of 120 guests. That number keeps the beach quiet on a stretch of coast where quiet is scarce, and the whole operation is built around it: staff walk you to your place, music stays low through the day, and there is no attempt at a party. Loungers come in tiers, from deluxe places in the third and fourth rows at around 35 euros for two on a weekday, through front-row VIP positions, up to cabanas for three that reach 170 euros over Ferragosto. Each station has its own safe box, and you order food and drinks by scanning a QR code from your sunbed. The kitchen cooks Mediterranean and local dishes, and the bar makes a point of its bartenders and cocktail list. Practical extras are thorough: free wifi, powerbanks on request, towels at 5 euros, showers and changing rooms, and a private car park with a 10 euro shuttle. A nine-seat minivan runs guests between partner hotels in Taormina and the beach. Open daily 9.30am to 6.30pm, with limited places, so booking is advised.
