Lido La Dolce Vita

Lido La Dolce Vita occupies part of Spisone, the beach directly below Taormina on the northern side of the town, reached by a steep road down or by the shuttle the club runs from hotels in the centre. Spisone is a pebble beach, grey and coarse underfoot, backed by the cliff carrying the town, and the water off it is deep and clean enough for the stretch to hold Blue Flag status. The lido leans more towards the table than the towel. Its restaurant occupies a terrace above the sand, with lunch built around fish, and it is the part of the operation guests tend to remember afterwards. New arrivals are given a welcome drink. Beyond the sunbeds and umbrellas, the club arranges boat trips down the coast towards Giardini Naxos. The season's tariff for umbrellas and sunbeds is not published, though the restaurant menu can be downloaded from the site.
