Over deze beachclub

The Spiaggia dei Pescatori runs between Ischia Porto and Ischia Ponte and is still used by local fishing boats, which are pulled up on the sand. Along it sits a line of small, long-established bathing establishments run by individual families, each with its own short stretch of umbrellas and sunbeds. Lido Antonietta is one of these. The beach is dark volcanic sand, shallow at the edge and sheltered, and it ends at the causeway leading out to the Castello Aragonese. Because the establishments are small, the atmosphere is domestic rather than resort-like. The old town of Ischia Ponte with its restaurants is directly behind. Rates are agreed on site and are not published.
