Vadella Beach Bar

Cala Vadella is a deep horseshoe cove on Ibiza's west coast, pine-covered slopes closing in on either side and a crescent of fine sand at the head of it. The water stays shallow and unusually still a long way out, which is why the bay fills with anchored boats through August and why families keep coming back to it. Vadella Beach Bar works the ground floor of that scene, a terrace set at beach level so you eat with your feet more or less on the sand. It runs as an all-day kitchen rather than a lunch-only spot: breakfast from mid-morning, then a menu that moves through avocado toast and eggs Benedict into gourmet burgers, pasta, salads and tapas, with the kitchen staying open into the evening. Produce is bought locally and from the market, coffee is Arabica, and the house drink is a sangria made with cava rather than red wine. Ordering is by QR code at the table, and takeaway is possible if you would rather eat on the sand itself. It closes on Tuesdays, which catches out visitors who assume Ibiza beach venues run seven days. West-facing, so the sunset is the main event of the evening service.
