Tao Beach Club

Tao is the polished end of the Taormina beach scene, laid out across two private sandy beaches called Galene and Nerea below the town on the Ionian coast, with Etna visible up the shore on clear days. Above the sand sit three terrace lounges, Galatea, Actea and Gauce, used for aperitivo. The beach is arranged as 25 double stations, each with two loungers, an umbrella and a table, plus eight cabana stations built around a double day bed and two deckchairs, good for up to four people. Waiter service, beach towels and wifi come with the pitch. Rates are seasonal and tiered by row, starting around 70 euros for a back row at quiet times and climbing to 180 euros for the front row in high summer; cabanas run from 200 to 500 euros depending on date, peaking over Ferragosto. Entry is only possible by renting a station, so there is no walk-in day rate. The beach runs 10am to 6pm with the restaurant open midday to 4pm, cooking Sicilian dishes from local produce, while a separate evening operation handles gala dinners and DJ nights. Massage on the sand and babysitting can be arranged, and a floating dock is available for mooring a boat if reserved.
