Elements Ibiza Beach Club

Elements is the beachfront operation at Cala Benirràs, a deep bay on the north coast reached by a winding descent through pine forest. Benirràs is not a fine-sand beach: it is coarse grit and pebble at the waterline, backed by rock, and the water drops away quickly and stays cold longer into the season than the southern beaches. What draws people is the setting and the ritual. The bay is enclosed by steep wooded slopes with the rock formation known as Es Cap Bernat rising from the water at the mouth, and for decades drummers have gathered on the sand for sunset, most famously on Sundays. Elements sits right on the front and gives you a seat for it, with a restaurant working fresh Mediterranean material with an Italian lean, a cocktail bar, massage treatments and a small boutique. The tone is relaxed and hippie-adjacent rather than exclusive, and the venue also takes weddings, which suits the amphitheatre-like bay. Because Benirràs opens to the west-northwest, the sun genuinely sets over the water here, which is why the drumming tradition attached itself to this bay in particular rather than to any other on the north coast.
