Bagno Nettuno

Bagno Nettuno dates from 1865 and states on its own site that it was the first public bathing establishment in Italy and the first open to both men and women. The beach is divided into named zones priced by how close they are to the water: Area Sun at 20 euro a day at the back, then Area Classic at 25, Area Premium at 30, Area Yellow at 35 and Area Top at 40 euro nearest the sea. The Area Sun rate covers an umbrella, two deckchairs and a complimentary sunbed for up to four people on day bookings, and pool access is bought separately at reception. Food covers cocktails, seafood, pizza, ice cream, wine and beer, served from a restaurant and a kiosk bar on the sand. There is also a children's area and a beach volleyball court. The published zone pricing is unusually transparent for this coast.
