Sa Trinxa

Sa Trinxa sits at the very far end of Ses Salines, past where the organised beach clubs stop, at the point where the sand runs into rock and scrub inside the nature reserve. Getting there means a long walk down the beach, and that walk is part of why the place has kept its character since 1980. It is a bar, not a club: a low structure on the sand with a scatter of tables, a kitchen doing seafood pasta, vegetable noodles, fresh fish, salads, sangria and cocktails, and a sound system that is the real reason most people make the trip. The music builds through the day on a predictable curve, from something you could eat lunch to in the morning, through a rising afternoon, to a full party by early evening, at which point the sand in front of the booth functions as a dancefloor. The crowd is genuinely mixed in age and nationality and the dress code is nonexistent. Sunbeds on this stretch are run by a separate beach concession rather than by the bar itself, which is a common point of confusion. It closes at sundown rather than running into the night.
