Ponderosa Beach

Ponderosa Beach sits at Casetes des Capellans, a cluster of old fishermen's huts behind the dunes on Playa de Muro, one of the longest sandy beaches in northern Mallorca. It began as a family chiringuito in 1967 and has been rebuilt into a larger beach restaurant while keeping tables on the sand. The menu centres on paellas and rice dishes, fresh fish, salads and grilled meats, backed by a wine list and signature cocktails. Music is part of the format, with a summer schedule of live acts and house sessions, and the venue publishes an artist calendar for the season. The operators run a sustainability programme alongside the restaurant. Playa de Muro is shallow and family friendly, with dunes and pine woodland behind. It is one of the best known names on the north coast and books up in high season.
