Palmizana bay holds a handful of restaurants set among the botanical planting behind the beach and the marina, and Bacchus is one of them. It is a seated restaurant rather than a beach club with hired beds, positioned a short walk from the water. The bay is used heavily by day trippers from Hvar town and by boats mooring in the marina, and the restaurants along it fill up at lunch and again in the evening. Taxi boats run from the Hvar waterfront through the season.
