Tonnara di Sciacca

This is a former tuna processing works on the Sciacca waterfront, in operation until 1954 and since converted into a seaside resort with Mediterranean gardens laid out around the old buildings. The accommodation is self-catering: deluxe apartments of 25 to 30 square metres with terrace access, and larger 30 square metre queen apartments on two levels. The beach in front is equipped with loungers and umbrellas through the bathing season, primarily for resident guests, though non-residents can request a pitch consisting of one umbrella and two loungers, which comes with use of the changing rooms and outdoor showers. That is the extent of what is publicly documented. There is no restaurant advertised on site, no published tariff for beach pitches, and no stated opening hours, so this is better understood as a place to stay with beach service attached than as a day lido you can turn up to.
