About this beach club
The Bungalow hangs on the slope above Clifton Fourth, the most sheltered of Cape Town's Clifton beaches, and holds what may be the best sunset seat on that side of the peninsula. It is a terrace venue rather than a toes-in-the-sand club: a restaurant and bars looking straight down onto the beach and the Atlantic, with the light show at the end of the day as the main event. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has parking, worth knowing on Clifton's crowded road. Cape Town's season is the northern winter, and on a still summer evening here it is easy to see why the city keeps winning that argument.
