About this beach club
Mamita's is the best known beach club on Playa del Carmen's own beach, a short walk north of the centre. It has been the default answer to a beach day here for years: rows of loungers on the sand, a pool, a restaurant and bar behind them, and a terrace for staying past lunch. It is a genuinely mixed crowd, from families using the kids area in the morning to a livelier scene later in the day. The club is wheelchair accessible and has parking, which is not a given this close to the centre. If you want the classic Playa del Carmen beach day with service, this is where most people end up.
