El Chiringuito de Altea

The restaurant sits on the first line of the beach on Partida Carretera de l'Albir, between Altea town and Albir. Two things define the kitchen. The first is charcoal grilled meat, cut in the venue's own butchery and served without sauces alongside a baked potato. The second is rice, with a range that includes the house paella of meat, vegetables and chickpeas, plus vegetable, mixed and seafood paellas, arroz a banda, black rice and fideua. Alongside the terrace there is a fenced play park with bouncy castles and monitors employed by the restaurant, which lets families eat while children are supervised. The venue also takes group bookings for birthdays, family meals and company dinners, and offers childminders for those events. Reservations are made through the website or by phone.
