Bagni Salvatore occupies a stretch of the San Francesco marina where the ruins of a Roman villa run out under the water. Swimmers can see the submerged walls through the clear shallows, which is the main thing that distinguishes this establishment from its neighbours. The bathing area is a set of decks and platforms with loungers and umbrellas and ladders into the sea. The restaurant works with local produce and has a reputation among visitors as the best food on this beach. The establishment also hosts private events. Access is from the Sorrento clifftop by the public lift at the Villa Comunale or on foot from the port.
