About this beach club
African Queen occupies one of the plots on J1 Beach, the beachfront dining strip built on the Jumeirah 1 coast near La Mer. The kitchen runs seafood, grilled meats and seasonal dishes in a Mediterranean and Riviera style, and there is a beach section in front of the restaurant. Published formats include a weekday Riviera lunch, a Saturday brunch, a Sunday rose session and a weekday beach bundle, so pricing is packaged rather than sold as a single flat day pass. Children under twelve are allowed until 21:00 with an adult, and guests must be twenty one or over to drink alcohol, with valid identification required. Alcohol is served under the venue licence. J1 Beach has valet parking and a jetty for arrival by boat.
